The story of SCHIEK Rundschleifen began in 1987, when Hermann Schiek laid the foundation for our family business – starting in the basement of his home in Urbach, with just two machines and a small office. Driven by passion, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality, SCHIEK quickly became recognized as a trusted specialist in carbide cylindrical grinding.

With the transition to the second generation, Horst Schurr joined the company in 2000, bringing about a move to a new, larger facility in Schorndorf. Under his leadership, our machinery was continuously expanded, and the company experienced steady growth. The integration of advanced technologies and an increase in capacity allowed us to continually enhance our portfolio, providing our clients with even more precise and powerful solutions.

Since 2022, SCHIEK Rundschleifen has been led by Raphael Schurr, the third generation of our family. With fresh ideas and a clear vision, he is guiding our family business into the future. We are particularly proud of introducing innovative products like CB/GC grinding arbors, offering our customers new possibilities in precision machining. At the same time, our manufacturing depth has expanded through the addition of modern EDM and CNC machines.
